Orland Art Center Solo Show
My September one-woman art show at the Orland Art Center Gallery was very gratifying. We had an excellent turn-out, and I sold several oil paintings, encaustics, and mixed-media works. It was exhilarating to see so much of my artwork, 45 pieces, in such a large and elegant gallery!
The curator, Rae Turnbull, had this to say regarding the exhibit: “Joan Pechanec’s show was very successful. Our attendees responded enthusiastically to her lush use of color and the strong sense of mood and mystery in her paintings . . . There is a grace about her artistry.”

We are preparing to travel to Fairhope, Alabama where Charlie will again be writer-in-residence and I will paint with the talented artists at the Eastern Shore Art Center.
My art is currently being carried by the Siskiyou Art Museum in Dunsmuir, California.
