Somewhere in Texas, Original Oil Painting by Joan Pechanec, 12 x 24 For three winters we have made the long drive from California to Alabama. This painting is from a photo taken from our car on the seemingly endless stretch of Highway 10 through Texas. We passed many isolated small towns with their ubiquitous water towers. I tried to convey the lonely, lost-in-another-time feeling these places evoke. I always wonder what it would be like to live in such a town.

Somewhere in Texas

Original Oil Painting

$350

For three winters we have made the long drive from California to Alabama. “Somewhere in Texas” is painted from a photo taken on the seemingly endless stretch of Highway 10 through Texas.  We passed many isolated small towns with their ubiquitous water towers. I tried to convey the lonely, lost-in-another-time feeling these places evoke. I always wonder what it would be like to live in such a town.
